The Amazon Payments team recently returned from eTail East in Baltimore, MD, where we joined leading retailers and vendors to discuss the latest trends and best practices in the industry. From our booth in the Solution Zone, we had the opportunity to connect with current Checkout by Amazon retailers as well as develop relationships with new sellers.
Matt Williams, the GM of Consumer Payments, moderated Track C on Day One of the Conference, focusing on Improved Customer Convenience & Retention. Matt kicked off the session by speaking about how Checkout by Amazon makes shopping across the web easier and more convenient for both Amazon account holders who purchase across the web, helping retailers to acquire highly qualified new customers by turning browsers into buyers. He appreciated the opportunity to moderate discussions between panelists representing retailers including Zappos, SimplySoles, Evo, and Taylor Gifts.
Looking ahead, Amazon Payments will be sponsoring the Mobile Shopping Summit, which will be held in New York City from October 25th through 27th. Baris Cetinok, GM of Digital Services, will be speaking on Day Two of the Main Conference, examining how the brand-conscious seller can provide a mobile shopping experience that is seamless and smart from end to end. We encourage retailers who are interested in building their m-commerce business to attend, and look forward to connecting at the event.
